In recent years, society has rightly been paying special attention to the ecological aspect of production facilities and consequently, also to the sustainability of products.

One of the most misguided stereotypes ingrained in the collective imagination is related to smelters, seen as the antithesis of a culture aimed at environmental respect.

In truth, it is largely to the credit of modern smelting plants that today, humankind can preserve their very high status in life while preserving the environment itself.

Tecnica Press is among those modern companies, with die casting as the basis of its production, that has decided to actively address the environmental problem, taking the lead for a more sustainable future.

Using a strategic and thoughtful approach, our company has skillfully transformed the constraints of environmental compliance into opportunities for competitive growth.

Almost all of our production waste is thus reprocessed locally, reusing a considerable proportion of the material; a practice that if spread to all companies, would prevent the inappropriate use of mineral resources, an unscrupulous action that is causing serious economic and social repercussions worldwide.

Modern management systems are another key piece in achieving this goal: the requirement to monitor emissions, upgrade production systems to make them more energy efficient, and responsibly manage the smelting process with respect for workers, aimed at ensuring a healthier and more comfortable working environment.

One of the latest technologies in which Tecnica Press has invested is a revolutionary vibratory finishing system for three-dimensional cleaning and polishing of rough metal parts.

This new system for surface finishing, carries out innovative, completely dry processing cycles, without the minimum use and waste of water.

Unlike more traditional vibratory finishing equipment, which makes extensive use of water; the systems installed in our production unit produce neither spent water nor processing sludge at the end of the process.

Therefore, no highly polluting and difficult to dispose of slag leaves our plant, but rather a waste powder ten times lighter than waste sludge, classified as “environmentally non-hazardous.”

The absence of formaldehyde in the special abrasives we use is a further focus on safety, in this case also of the operator.

As we have seen, a company that wants to be concretely more environmentally sustainable, must adopt technical solutions and approaches to production, aimed at the pursuit of precise goals.
